Many elders are left alone in their final years. At Shanti Dham Ashram, destitute senior citizens receive a safe place to live, meals, medical help and the companionship of a family — free of cost.
Free shelter and nutritious meals
Bathing, grooming and clean clothes
Medical check-ups and medicines
Bhajan-kirtan, yoga, meditation and festivals together
Illness is a heavy burden for someone with no one beside them. We arrange check-ups and medicines for residents, go with them to hospital, and bring care to the ashram — such as the free eye-test camp held there on 2 July 2024 with Dr Shroff’s Eye Hospital, Noida, which also carries out the cataract operations.

Children from low-income families near our centres often miss out on support with their studies. We hold study sessions with books and materials, and celebrate festivals such as Holi with them.
Gentle movement, breathing and meditation bring calm, strength and connection. Our sessions help residents stay active and peaceful, and every 21 June we mark International Yoga Day together.
Loneliness affects health as much as illness. Our day care gives elders a warm place to spend the day with friends, activities, tea and caring attention.
We run awareness programmes on staying free from addiction. Our early centre, a Nasha Mukti Kendra, closed around 2024, so we no longer offer counselling or treatment there.
